6-24-25 Road Updates:
Beasore Road (5S07): Paving of ~9 miles of dirt road was completed last summer.
Norris Creek Bridge: Reconstruction of the bridge is currently planned for this summer/fall. There is a detour in place around the bridge.
Norris Creek Bridge to 4S81 Paving: This will occur after the Norris Creek Bridge repair is completed.
Minarets Road (4S81):
The Sierra Vista Scenic Byway is open, but there are quite a few downed trees along the north east sections of the road. There is a detour in place for NORRIS CREEK BRIDGE area as noted above. Please click HERE for current alerts & warnings from the Sierra National Forest. Plus always check the alters page before you burn for fire restrictions if any.
Nelder Grove: A hard closure is still in effect so that hazard tree removal work by the USFS can be completed. Work is currently planned to continue through the 2025 summer season. See Restoration Article HERE.
